I'm a displaced European currently living and working in Washington, DC.
My professional interests are in a social science field; my personal interests include theatre, ice dance and the ever-popular watching TV.
I don't write a what-I-did-today sort of journal. I aim to keep this free of real life angst and drama. My main objective in restarting a blog is to have a repository for my reviews, which I have be writing anyway due to my random inherent need to keep a written (or at least electronic) record of things I have done and seen. I guess it will be useful if I ever end up as a character in a TV drama and develop amnesia.
It is probably also going to end up as somewhat of a brain-dump for miscellaneous thoughts on fiction, fandom, and other considerations which are not part of my everyday life.
With most shows the audience may be under the illusion, but the actors know that real life is on the other side of the footlights.
